The NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association announced the NJCAA Rising All-Stars presented by the NABC event that will take place starting this summer, July 18-21 in Council Bluffs/Omaha in conjunction with the NCAA's updated recruiting calendar.
Sanctioned by both the NCAA and the NJCAA, the NJCAA Rising All-Stars Class of 2023 event will feature 48 of the NJCAA's top returning men's basketball players, providing four-year scouts the opportunity to view them in game and practice settings. Players must be entering the sophomore year of eligibility at the two-year level and have participated in the 2021-22 season or have been signed to a letter of intent in the spring of 2022.
Hosted on the campus of Iowa Western in Council Bluffs/Omaha, players will arrive on July 18 in preparation for the start of the recruiting period on July 20. From July 18-21, six teams will be formed to compete in three games, multiple practices/shoot-arounds and other player and team activities.
The event will also feature a series of seminars, educating the student-athletes in recruitment, eligibility, NIL and mental health.
